The Tunnel of Love

It seems the way to get me to art is to relate it to uni work somehow. This little picture was created for a presentation we had to do as a part of a case study for one of my subjects at uni. The case study was on Burrayms parvis, or the Mountain Pygmy Possum. This little possum lives in the alpine regions of Victoria and New South Wales and is nationally endangered. /Anyway/ they built a road right through their habitat as part of a ski development ..and because there is sexual segregation in this species, they sort of ruined the normal movements of these guys and impacted on their breeding. So under the road they built a tunnel for the animals to travel safely through - they called it the 'tunnel of love' and filled it with boulders (which is part of their natural habitat) and put mesh on the ends to protect them from being gobbled up as they emerge from the tunnel. So, I got to draw a cute little representation of this. <3 Done last night in photoshop.
